To be a member of SOS :
- An attorney cannot have worked for more than 6-months in the legal field after being admitted to the Bar prior to starting their own law practice; or
- An attorney cannot have clerked for more than 1 year after being admitted to the Bar prior to starting their own law practice.
- An attorney must be in good standing with the Bar or a current law student.
Current members of SOS are grandfathered in and do not need to meet the above criteria to remain members.
If a potential member does not meet the above criteria, the potential member can appeal to the Board for a waiver. The Board will consider exceptions at the next scheduled Board Meeting.
Yearly membership cost is $30.
